Chiang Mai is located in the northern part of Thailand and is famous for its good food and lazy lifestyle… Chiang Mai has a sizable expat population… and it is not uncommon to find westerners hanging out in the small pubs by the street side…

I landed in Chiang Mai and took a cab to the night market area… I got a great hotel thanks to the awesome taxi driver… The Chaing Mai Guest House… it is located close to the night market area.. the hotel has its own travel counter and it also  rents out bikes and cycles which is pretty handy to go around the city…

Chiang Rai is the sister city of Chaing Mai… it is still developing as a tourist spot but has a few sights like the White Temple and the Golden Triangle which are worth seeing…

Things to do in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai

2. The Chiang Mai Night Market- The night market is famous all over Thailand and it becomes even more enjoyable during the weekends.. you can find anything from food, clothes, bags , souvenirs here…
